Are you a current tenant of Raine&Horne Marrickville? We've compiled a handy guide to some of the most frequently asked questions we get asked by tenants. Have a look! If you don't find the answer you need give us a call on (02) 9560 7599.
At the expiry of the fixed term your Residential Tenancy Agreement will become a periodic agreement. Should you wish to renew your tenancy for another fixed term you will need to notify us in writing so approval can be sought from the owner or alternatively you can continue under the same terms and conditions.
If you want to end your tenancy when the fixed term period of the agreement is due to run out, you will need to give at least 14 days' notice. This notice can be given up to and including the last day of the fixed term.
If you want to end your tenancy after the fixed term has ended (and you have not signed another agreement), you will need to give at least 21 days' notice.
The notice is effective the date it is received at our office not the date of signing or mailing.
You can submit your notice to vacate by completing our notice to vacate form.
All maintenance requests need to be in writing and can be mailed, faxed or email to our property management team.
Alternatively, you can fill in our maintenance request form here.
Rent payments must be made as per your Residential Tenancy Agreement.
Should you experience any difficulty in meeting your rent payments at any time during your tenancy it is advisable that you contact your property manager as soon as possible to discuss. Paying rent on time is an obligation and any arrears can lead to the termination of your tenancy and effect your future rental situations.
The holding deposit you paid upon the acceptance of your tenancy application will be paid to your initial rent.
It is recommended that you seek advice in regards to insuring your personal belongings & contents. The Landlords and or Owners Corporation do not cover any loss to your goods or possessions.
Should you lock yourself out or lose your keys we will not be able to provide access to your property after hours. It will be your responsibility to contact a locksmith to gain access.
Contact us to discuss your situation should you want to break or vacate prior to the fixed term expiring. Penalties can apply so it's important to understand your options.
